Transfer and Agitation

Although raw slurry has a very low dry matter (DM), settling will occur: heavy solids sink to the bottom and the light ones float to the top – producing a solid mass at the bottom, a crust on the surface and the liquid in between.

When it’s time to start transferring the slurry for land application or simply to another storage area, it’s pointless to start draining or pumping the settled slurry without first agitating to ensure it is thoroughly mixed. Without you will be removing mostly liquid, leaving behind the top and bottom solids – this can be very time consuming and expensive to rectify.

We offer a range of equipment for agitating and pumping your slurry, raw or separated liquid. The DM content of separated liquid will determine whether agitation is required.
